Amazed...

How amazing is our God?!?!?! Rachel, Rachel, and I received a letter today from a dear French woman. She was our teacher in France when we were there this past summer. Each day the three of us girls would have a Bible study before school would start in the commons area. We would see Frederique each day while down there, and say hi. One day she asked us in class what we were doing, and then preceded to ask us what the lesson was that we learned that day. She also asked us if we would share each day with the class what we learned that morning from our study. During class time one day we had a discussion about if we thought i were ok for a man and woman to live together if not married. God totally took over that convo and the three of us girls (more of Rachel Goodloe that anything) were able to explain what faith in God really looks like. We were able to share with her what it meant to believe that God had created one man for us in our lives and that if we were to be married that it would happen. It was God's plan, not ours. She really couldn't understand that at all, and heavily critisized our faith as well. I remember countless times when we would get into a discussion about God and church and she just would laugh and crack jokes.
Well... today we got a letter from this loving woman, who we can now call a true sister! That is right, she has excepted Jesus as her Savior! Amazing, wow, blown away! I guess I hadn't been completely trusting in God's strength or power that He could change such a heart around. She has been going to church, and in the letter it actually says that she went to church on July 25, 2004, which was the weekend before our last week in LaRochelle, France. Which is weird cause she never said a thing to us about it before we left. Also I beleive that the church she said she attended was the same one that the three of us girls had been going to. So... yeah we have a new sister in Christ! Amazing is the only thing that really discribes it all!
