Target Shoppers Beware!

I'm sure many of you have shopped at Target within the last week, and I have some things that ALL of you need to consider in your net excursion out to the red and khaki world. Take every bit of advise seriously cause it is coming from a girl who has worked there for 3 and a half years!!!

~ If you don't want to buy the yellow tube socks, then don't pick them up and cary them to the register. We have to stay and put them away at the end of the night!
~ If asked if something needs to go in a bag, that means we don't think it needs to and we don't want to put it in a bag.
~ If you buy a greeting card what is the purpose of a card bag when you have an envelope?!
~ Lipstick is sealed for a reason.
~ Clothes are also folded for a reason.
~ Gift cards are found at the end of the check lanes!
~ Carts go back in the cart corrale, not in the middle of the floor, pushed by the cart corrale, or left at the end of the lanes.
~ If you don't want something you picked up, do not put it on the top of the pop cooler!
~ Buy the pop before you drink it.
~ Do no pull items one at a time out of your cart and watch the prices. Get it all up there while you are waiting for the person ahead of you and then watch them as they get rung up.
~ We HAVE to ask if you want to save 10% by applying for a Target Visa, or we loose our jobs!
~ We need you to take you pop, water, EVERYTHING out of your carts to get them rung up!
~ Clothes do not hang themselves back on the hanger.

Please enjoy your next trip to Target :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!

CHILDLIKE ENOUGH

IF WE WOULD see the Child on this Night, then we must be prepared perhaps even to be a child on this Night, to let our imagination and our hope and our faith carry us to some new way of seeing, some new way of hearing, so that our eyes might be opened and our ears might be too, so that our hearts might be quickened and our spirits might be touched.

In the end, we must be willing to believe in the Promise that Immanuel will come, we must have faith to believe that the Promise will be kept, and we must hope that we too will be willing and able and childlike enough to recognize the face of God in the face of the Child.

negative ten

So yes it is COLD up here in Minnesota!!!! Land of ten thougsand ice rinks now we are. Still not much snow which is a big bummer. But hopefully it will be in the forcast soon.
Just a thought. The other day, while ringing up one of many customers at Target I noticed that this person was buying the movie "King Arthur." But not only was it "King Arthur," but the UNRATED version. IT said that there were explicit scenes. How much more explicit can you get. Does the "'secret wedding' without the wedding" have less veil coverage?!?! Does Gwenivere sport less duct tape during the fight scene?!?!

It has been too long...

So I just realized that it has been exactly two months since I have updated you all on my life. There has been so much going on the past few weeks it would take me a good week to write it all down and you all two weeks to read it all. So I will start small, and then maybe I will fill in with more later. Today was my second day back working as a cashier at Target. I am very thankful that I have been able to be on leave since June and still have a job to come back to with people who I enjoy working with. It is weird seeing a bunch of new people there and many of the college kids are not yet back for break. Tonight I had to laugh when one girl asked me if it was my first day there. Yeah , I have been working at Target since August 2001, that makes it a little over 3 years! Tonight I also witnessed something wonderful. I couple who were around their lower fifties came through my line. I knew that they would be nice to talk to since they approached the line with smiles and laughter. What really made a mark on my heart was when the wife asked if she was able to use her gift card of their purchase. And her husband said, "No, you keep that sweetie and spend it on something special for yourself later." Picking on each other, they left my line wishing me a Merry Christmas. Those are the couples that makes me just sigh and wonder if and when God will bless me with that. But it also makes me content with waiting for that right guy that God has already prepared for me.
